At the archaeological site of Kom Al-Rasras (southern Egypt), the remains of a temple from the 2nd century CE, i.e. Roman times, were found. The discovery was made thanks to the involvement of students.
The temple has the name “Khenu” written in hieroglyphs. The building consisted of 3 chambers. Notes in hieroglyphs (so-called cartouches) on the temple stone mention the emperors Domitian, Hadrian and Antoninus Pius, i.e. the period when the sanctuary was probably built.
