In 2017, a Roman perfumery and a Visigothic burial place were discovered in Spain – the skeleton of a 25-year-old Visigothic woman (from the 3rd-8th century) was discovered.
The discovery took place in Plaza de Manises, in the eastern part of Valencia. At the site of discovery, there were remains of Roman stone structures and numerous glass vessels (vials, bottles), which suggests that scientists found an ancient perfumery.
Scientists are still conducting research to assess whether there are remains of a larger cemetery on the site.
