Archaeologists found victim in Pompeii who lost head while escaping
During excavations, the researchers found remains of a body that had no head. According to the researchers, the decapitation occurred during the victim’s escape in Pompeii.
The man was crushed by a huge 300 kg stone, which was thrown from the crater of Vesuvius. Archaeologists have not yet found the human skull.
The first study revealed that the man was about 30 years old. Despite the young age, he had some problems with walking, because in the bone structure of the leg some damage was found. For this reason, the lame Pompeian could not get out of town in time.
