Archaeologists have discovered Roman and medieval centers in England

Interesting discoveries were made in England. Archaeologists found traces of a Roman shopping centre, an abandoned medieval village and three prehistoric monuments.

The archaeological work covered an area of ​​350 hectares and was carried out in connection with the planned expansion of the A14 motorway between Cambridge and Huntingdon. It is worth noting that the excavations carried out covered approximately half of Gibraltar and it was the most extensive and complex archaeological project in the history of Great Britain.

Scientists have gained extremely valuable knowledge about the Cambridgeshire area, which has been inhabited by people for 6,000 years. From the perspective of IMPERIUM ROMANUM, the most interesting find is the Roman shopping centre, which was said to have been important in distributing products around the Island. The centre was linked to the surrounding farms and the main ancient road connecting Cambridge and Godmanchester. Artefacts related to the Roman army were also found, which proves that trade was centrally managed.
