Etruscan grave was discovered in Corsica

An etruscan tomb from the 4th century BCE was discovered in Corsica. The discovery took place in Aleria, on the east coast of the island.

The tomb is located in a large ancient cemetery. Scientists found i.e. numerous pieces of ceramics, an object similar to a mirror or remnants of furniture. Probably the person from the upper social classes was buried here.

Archaeologists believe that this discovery may help to learn about the fall of Etruscan cities and their takeover by the Romans up to the first century BCE.
