More traces of city of Verulamium have been found

In 2017, during gas works in St Albans (England), the remains of the Roman city Verulamium were found.

Verulamium was the third largest city in Roman Britain, after which scientists still find further traces. This time, the location of the city wall and the unknown house were discovered. Traces of mosaics prove that the property must have belonged to well-born citizens.

During the excavations, numerous ceramics and animal bones were also found, which will go to the Verulamium Museum.
