Pot from Roman times in England discovered
On the beach in Birchington (south-east England), two parts of Roman ceramics have been discovered that fit perfectly together.
The first, top part of the clay pot was found a few weeks ago. Now the second, lower part of the object was found. The pot is dated to the second century CE.
The discovery was made by Steve Tomlinson, a resident of Birchington. For the find he has already received an offer from a private collector – 2000 pounds. Steve Tomlinson, however, remarked that the find is too valuable and will be handed over to the museum.
