Replica of triumphal arch from Palmyra in London

A replica of the triumphal arch from Palmyra, which was destroyed as a result of devastating actions by Islamic State fighters, was erected in London.

The building was built in Trafalgar Square and was made of Egyptian marble using 3D technology. The arch was made to scale on the basis of hundreds of photos of the original building. £ 100,000 has been allocated to the project. According to politicians, this is to be an opposition to violence.

Experts, however, are unfavourable of the resulting structure. They think it’s making “Disneyland” out of archaeology
