An amazing find was discovered in the Slovak city Spišské Vlachy – a Roman coin dating back to the 4th century CE. It shows the emperor Constantius II, who ruled between 337 and 361 CE.
The find was in the vicinity of a local church and, researchers believe, may have been deposited to “protect” the building from evil forces. The coin probably ended up in these areas as a result of trade.
