The Capitoline Triad
Ides of November, celebrated on November 13, were a Roman festival in honor of the Jupiter (Epulum Jovis). During the festival, a triad of gods was celebrated (Juno, Minerva and Jupiter), who accompanied mortals, as the statues, during the feast.
If the celebrations took place at home, then statues were often placed on exclusive sofas (pulvinaria) in the most important place at the table. During the dinner, the best dishes and wine were served to win the favor of the gods.
