The road continued <em>Via Sacra<\/em> and stretched from <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/kultura\/architektura-rzymska\/budowle-rzymskie\/forum-romanum\/\">the Forum Romanum<\/a> to the Temple of <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-religion\/gods-of-ancient-rome\/list-of-roman-gods\/jupiter\/\">Jupiter<\/a> the Greatest. <em>Clivus Capitolinus<\/em> was the last and most important leg of the Roman triumphal route. It is worth mentioning that this road was one of the oldest in <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-geography\/roman-cities\/rome-eternal-city\/\">Rome<\/a>. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It is said that <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/biografie\/gajusz-juliusz-cezar\/\">Julius Caesar<\/a> travelled the entire route on his knees to reverse the evil omen that had arisen during his <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-constitution\/roman-triumph\/\">triumph<\/a>. On a daily basis, the road was very crowded and there were many collisions and injuries. The most common problems arose when mules pulling a cart with too much load uphill had to stop in the crowd of pedestrians.
