He was the governor of <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/geografia\/prowincje-rzymskie\/spis-prowincji-rzymskich\/brytania-rzymska\/\">Britain<\/a> in the years 74-78 CE, where he became famous for building the <em>Via Iulia<\/em> road and establishing the 2nd legion&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-army\/roman-camp\/\">camp<\/a>. During <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/biografie\/nerwa\/\">Nerva&#8217;s rule<\/a>, he was responsible for overseeing the <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-art-and-culture\/roman-architecture\/roman-buildings\/roman-aqueducts\/\">aqueducts<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sextus became famous above all for his treatises on engineering <em>De aquaeductu <\/em><em>(On aqueducts)<\/em> and surveying.
