When asked by the flatterers, the philosopher Apollonius of Tyana replied, &#8220;I think of him better than you, for you think he should sing and mine should be silent&#8221;<sup class=\"footnote_empty\">1<\/sup>. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Vindex, on the other hand, expressed an opinion about matricide: &#8220;[&#8230;] he had quite rightly put to death his mother, because she had borne such a monster&#8221;<sup class=\"footnote\" data-qtip=\"Philostratus, Life of Apollonius\" data-footid=\"2\">2<\/sup>. <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/biographies\/nero\/\">Nero<\/a> also became famous for his lack of a sense of morality.<\/p>\n<p>It was no secret that he wanted to be the lover of his own mother, who was self-imposed on him. He castrated a boy to make him a woman and then married him.
