Object dated to the 1st &#8211; 3rd century CE; made of terracotta. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ancient Romans had the habit of folding terra-cotta objects that simulated <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/article\/animals-and-hunting-in-world-of-romans\/\">animals<\/a>, human (including babies) or body parts. Most often, however, copies of the head, arms or legs were put on the altars &#8211; suppose that those parts of the body were mostly &#8220;sick&#8221; or damaged.
