The accused was defended by <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/biographies\/cicero\/\">Cicero<\/a>, the former mentor of Caelius. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Finally, thanks to the speech of <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/biographies\/cicero\/\">Cicero<\/a>, Bestia was acquitted. Despite his defeat, Caelius did not give up and brought another accusation of bribery together in connection with the elections of the current year.
