Object is dated to 170\u2014180 CE. It is located in National Archaeological Museum in Venice (Italy).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Pompeianus was a general during the rule of Emperor <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/biographies\/marcus-aurelius\/\">Marcus Aurelius<\/a>. He distinguished himself during wars with the Parthians and the Marcomanni. Marcus Aurelius respected him so much that he agreed for his <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-society\/marriage-and-love-life-in-ancient-rome\/\">marriage<\/a> to Lucilla, a daughter of Marcus Aurelius.
