The mosaic can be seen at the Archaeological Museum of Naples, and it comes from the so-called the Pigeon House in <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-geography\/roman-cities\/pompeii\/\">Pompeii<\/a>, located in the southwestern part of the archaeological site.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, the beautiful lion with a panther can be seen not only in Naples. It just so happens that an almost identical mosaic was unearthed in the ruins of the Roman theater in Gubbio north of <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-geography\/roman-cities\/rome-eternal-city\/\">Rome<\/a>. Strange fate has meant that the mosaic from Gubbio now adorns the library of the aristocratic palace <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/discoveries\/in-england-remains-of-roman-production-complex-was-found\/\">in England<\/a> &#8211; Holkham Hall in Norfolk.
