This is how Latin <em>Julius<\/em>, French <em>Juillet<\/em> and English <em>July<\/em> were created, which is simply <b>July<\/b> (in our name comes from summer blooming July). <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In 8 BC. The Roman <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-constitution\/roman-republic\/roman-offices\/roman-senate\/\">Senate<\/a> decided to name the next month the name of <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/biographies\/augustus\/\">Emperor Octavian Augustus<\/a> (<em>August<\/em>, French &#8211; <em>Aout<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>And because the Senate recognized <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/biographies\/augustus\/\">Augustus<\/a> as equal to <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/curiosities\/caesar-queen-of-nicomedes\/\">Caesar<\/a>, so that he would not be harmed &#8211; one day was added to &#8220;his&#8221; month, so that there would be <b>also 31<\/b>. To maintain order, February was shortened by one day and there were 28 left.<\/p>\n<p>Caesar sought to overtly idolize him during his lifetime, which was soon after his death, when a comet appeared in the sky recognized by the superstitious Roman plebs as Caesar&#8217;s soul. <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-constitution\/roman-empire\/imperial-cult\/\">Deification<\/a> was approved by the Senate (January 1, 42 BCE), who recognized Caesar&#8217;s transition from the human world to the world of <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-religion\/gods-of-ancient-rome\/\">gods<\/a>, calling him &#8220;divine Julius&#8221; (title <em>Divus Iulius<\/em> or <em>Divus Julius<\/em>).
