This city is the only centre in the world that is surrounded by completely intact Roman walls from the 3rd century CE.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Romans surrounded the city with defensive walls about 2 thousand meters long, 4,2 m thick and 8 to 12 m high. They had 10 gates and gates and 71 defensive towers (60 round and 11 quadrangular).
