The object is dated to the 1st century CE and is located on the slope under the Castle. The theatre could accommodate from 4 to 5 thousand viewers, that is the city&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-society\/population-of-roman-empire\/\">population<\/a> at that time.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The theatre was inside the walls of the ancient Roman colony. Interestingly, there was also a large theatre outside the city walls, which, however, has not survived to this day.<\/p>\n<p>The area was divided into a stage where the acting and <em>orchestra<\/em> and stage (<em>cavea<\/em>) took place.
