Agrippa (12 BCE &#8211; 14 CE) was born <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/biographies\/marcus-vipsanius-agrippa\/\">Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa<\/a> Postumus and was the son of Marcus Agrippa &#8211; the famous commander of Octavian <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/biographies\/augustus\/\">Augustus<\/a> &#8211; and Julia, daughter of the emperor.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>He owed his nickname Postumus, which means &#8220;Posthumus&#8221; because he was born after his father&#8217;s death (12 BCE).<\/p>\n<p>After the death of the older brothers Lucius and Gaius <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/curiosities\/caesar-queen-of-nicomedes\/\">Caesar<\/a>, he was also adopted by the emperor and was taken &#8211; along with <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/biographies\/tiberius\/\">Tiberius<\/a> &#8211; into the appointment of the throne after the king&#8217;s death.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/biographies\/suetonius\/\">Suetonius<\/a>, he was not supposed to make the best impression and was considered rather insane.
