The building was commissioned by the local aristocrat <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/biographies\/tiberius\/\">Tiberius<\/a> Claudius Aristion around 114 CE, in <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-religion\/gods-of-ancient-rome\/list-of-roman-gods\/honor\/\">honor<\/a> of the goddess Artemis and Emperor Trajan. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The nymph was an ornate fountain that ended the water pipe and graced the city center beautifully.
