At the bottom of the eastern port of Alexandria, 3 Roman shipwrecks, an Egyptian votive candle for the god Osiris, and some minor artefacts were discovered.<\/p>\n
Among other finds, there are head (probably Mark Antony<\/a>) and gold coins from the reign of Octavian Augustus<\/a> (27 BCE – 14 CE).<\/p>\n The discovery took place in the eastern port, where scientists believe that there are still many interesting objects. It is suspected that another wreck may be discovered in 2018, as evidenced by the fact that so far the remains of ceramics have been found, which may have been transported by an undiscovered vessel.<\/p>\n Currently, researchers are focusing on restoring the excavated items.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
