In 2018, archaeologists discovered the remains of a Roman road in Northumberland, in the north of England. It is part of the road known as “Devil’s Causeway”.<\/p>\n
Last summer, for several weeks, a group of researchers from “AAG Archeology” worked to uncover traces of a fragment of the Roman road between Matfen and Belsay. Mainly riders who patrolled the area travelled along this road. Probably their base was the Onnum camp<\/a> (near the village of Halton), which was established between 122 and 126 CE.
