The tour takes place underground and the construction demonstrates the engineering <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-religion\/gods-of-ancient-rome\/list-of-roman-gods\/genius\/\">genius<\/a> of the ancient Romans. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The aqueduct was built between the end of the 3rd century and the beginning of the 4th century CE. The water was taken from the Jadro River &#8211; 9 km northeast of Split. The difference in height from which the water was transported was 13 meters. The decrease, in turn, is equal to 3% along the length of the entire aqueduct.
