It was founded about 1800 years ago, in the Roman colony &#8211; <em>Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium<\/em>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The first fragments of the building&#8217;s wall were excavated last year, during construction works for the new Protestant church. Initially, the specialists suspected that the walls belonged to the building in which the local residents&#8217; meetings took place.
