In northwestern Germany, in Kalkriese, an amazing find was discovered – a fragmented Roman armor (lorica segmentata<\/em><\/a>), which belonged to a legionary<\/a> from one of the three legions that were defeated by the barbarians in 9 CE in Teutoburg Forest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Scientists suspect that a well-preserved find, not looted by the Germans, may prove that the soldier was sacrificed and that all his belongings were to be donated to the Germanic gods<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
