As war campaigns were launched in the spring in March, the god of war was worshiped <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-religion\/gods-of-ancient-rome\/list-of-roman-gods\/mars\/\">Mars<\/a> and the trumpets of war were cleaned (<em>tubae<\/em>), which was supposed to bring victory in <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/battles-of-ancient-rome\/\">battles<\/a>. This day was at the end of another festival <em><a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-religion\/roman-feasts\/quinquatria\/\">Quinquatria<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The trumpet cleansing ceremony took place in <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/roman-geography\/roman-cities\/rome-eternal-city\/\">Rome<\/a>, in the <em>Atrium sutorium<\/em> building, where a sheep was sacrificed. On the streets of the cities you could see dancing priests &#8211; Sali\u00f3w.<\/p>\n<p>In May, the holiday took on a musical character.
