Traditionally established by <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/biografie\/numa-pompiliusz\/\">Numa Pompilius<\/a>. According to the Romans, Robigo was a deity responsible for securing crops against the so-called grain rust that destroyed huge amounts of fields.<\/p>\n<p>During Robigalia, the retinue of the faithful went to the sacred grove, where <em>Flamen Quirinalis<\/em> sacrificed a red <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/article\/dog-in-ancient-rome\/\">dog<\/a> and sheep to protect the crops from crop failure. Then races (<em>ludi cursoribus<\/em>) were organized in honor of <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/religia\/bogowie-starozytnego-rzymu\/spis-bogow-rzymskich\/mars\/\">Mars<\/a> and Robigo.
