There he would assemble a plough and wooden dolls, one for each person in the house. The next day, there was a cleansing <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/en\/curiosities\/suovetaurilia-sacrifice\/\">sacrifice<\/a> for the coming year.<\/p>\n<p>In the city, the president of every <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiumromanum.pl\/kultura\/architektura-rzymska\/insula-kamienica-rzymska\/\"><em>insulae<\/em><\/a> sacrificed a hen on the altar erected at each crossing. The holiday usually lasted three days.
