Fragment of Roman column from Brigetio
Fragment of the Roman column from Brigetio (now Komarom, northern Hungary). This ancient city, like many others, was born on the place of a Roman camp in which the Roman legion stationed.
From 86 CE in Brigetio there was the Legion I Adiutrix. From the most interesting events – here died the emperor Valentinian I (in 375 CE).
