Preserved fragment of Roman home calendar
Preserved fragment of the Roman home calendar. We can read, among others consecutive days in November and December and related Roman holidays. There is a small pin hole next to each day to mark the current date.
You can see, among others the beginning of the Saturnalia festival – December 17 (sixteen days before the kalends of January) and the celebration of Epona, the Celtic goddess caring for domestic animals – December 18.
It is located in the Santa Giulia Museum in Brescia (Italy).
