Roman bust of Marcus Agrippa. The object was found in Capri, Italy. Dated between 40-20 BCE.
An outstanding politician and military commander. Son-in-law, minister and friend of Emperor Augustus. He was a contemporary of Octavian and studied with him in Apolonia. Victory in September 31 BCE in the naval battle of Actium over the fleet of Mark Antony and Cleopatra VII, it was largely his merit.
