Roman gate near Fort Housesteads
Remains of the Roman Gate near Fort Housesteads (North of England), near Hadrian’s Wall. This is called Milecastle 37.
Auxiliary troops stationed in the aforementioned stone fort. The facility was built in 124 CE. Roman soldiers left the fortifications at the beginning of the 5th century CE.
