Skeleton from Viminacium

Found in Viminacium – Roman town located near Kostolac (eastern Serbia) – skeleton of Roman in grave. Dated back to 3rd-4th century CE.
Viminacium had around 30.000 inhabitants and was capital of Moesia Superior province. Site of Viminacium covers area of 450 hectares, and so far, only 2% have been excavated. Archaeologists say that there is enough material for the next 300 years of digging and exploration.
