Tombstone of shoemaker in Centrale Montemartini

Marble tombstone of a shoemaker named C. Julius Helius. A pair of shoes is visible on the stele, which clearly suggests the profession of a deceased Roman.

The object is located in the Centrale Montemartini museum in Rome; was discovered in 1887 at via Triumphalis. Dated to the 1st century CE.
