Hadrian's reign celebrated with gold coin

In 2017, the Italian National Mint minted a collector’s coin that commemorated the 1900th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Hadrian (117-138 CE).

The obverse shows a bust of Hadrian facing right. The designers were inspired by the famous portrait of the emperor from the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. Around the image will be the inscription REPVBBLICA ITALIANA.

On the reverse, a round temple of Venus appeared with the inscription HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS.

The coin has a face value of 10 euros and is made of gold.
