New discoveries at excavations in Civita Giuliana
Excavations at Civita Giuliana, a site about 700 meters north-west of Pompeii, yielded further discoveries, including ceramics. Civita Giuliana was a large Roman villa that had an agricultural character.
According to the Pompeian authorities, Civita Giuliana has been placed under special surveillance, and therefore illegal excavations and theft of artifacts have been prevented.
