This post is also available in: Polish (polski)

The feast of Mens Bona (Good Thought) was a Roman festive celebrated on June 8. Mens Bona was a Roman goddess symbolizing mental clarity and peace of mind. She was opposed by the goddess Mens Mala (Evil Thought), later identified with Ate.

The cult of Mens Bona was particularly popular among plebeians, freedmen and slaves. The temple was erected in her honor in 217 BCE on Capitol Hill on the advice of Sibylline Books. It was consecrated in 215 BCE.
