Further excavations began in Pompeii
In Pompeii, further excavations began in an area of 3,200 m2 in the area of Insula 10 Regio IX. From what I understand, the archaeological work is primarily aimed at securing the excavated walls and monuments that border directly on the still-buried section of the city. The pressure of the earth, pyroclastic material or flowing water has a bad effect on the excavated ruins.
