Amateur archaeologist discovered 1,800-Year-Old Roman ring

An amateur archeologist made an amazing discovery in England – he dug from the earth a beautifully decorated 1, 800-Year-Old ring, dating back to Roman times.
According to specialists, the object is made of 24-karat gold. In addition, it is decorated with black onyx, from which is made the image of Victory – Roman goddess – in a chariot pulled by two horses. The ring weighs 48 grams and is dated to the II-III century CE.
The discovery was made by Jason Massey, a member of the group of explorers, on 29 July, while surveying a field near Crewkerne, in the western part of England.
Initially, the finder thought that the object was a gold coin, because it was among about 60 Roman coins, buried in the ground. Certainly this discovery is a great achievement of the seeker.
