In 2018, archaeologists discovered the remains of a Greco-Roman temple at an excavation site in Al-Salam (Egypt). The front of the building, fragments of foundations and the main entrance were discovered.
The thickness of the outer walls of the building is about one meter thick. Scientists also found remains of pottery, the head of a statue and two sculptures depicting a lion. Excavations at this site are to be completed by the end of this year.
