Roman amphitheater in Mastaura
In western Turkey, near the town of Nailli, traces of a Roman amphitheatre have been discovered. The building was located in the small ancient city of Mastaura. According to local media, archaeological works are to begin soon.
The object was about 100 meters in diameter, and the walls were 14-15 meters high. It is the first outdoor building of its kind in Anatolia; Interestingly, we know that the region had seven or eight amphitheatres, but so far no traces of any of them have been found.
Initially, it is estimated that the amphitheatre is 1,800 years old.
