An “extremely rare” bronze Roman wing has been discovered at Gloucester, England.
The object is 14 cm long. They were dug from the ground during construction work on a new estate on Brunswick Road. This place was just outside the Roman walls.
According to experts, the wing probably belonged to the statue of Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory. The object is to prove that Gloucester was once an important Roman city in Britain and that the public space was full of statues and monuments. The find will be on display at the Gloucester Museum.
