Theater dating back to 1st century CE has been discovered in Crete | Photo: Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports

In Crete, a Greek theater dating back to the first century CE, i.e. the time of Roman rule, was discovered. The object was found in the southwestern part of the island, near the remains of the temple of Asclepius (Aesculapius), the god of medicine.
