Discovered fresco showing Leda with swan

In Pompeii, a Roman fresco showing Leda with a swan was discovered. The fresco was in the bedroom (cubiculum) in the house at Via del Vesuvio.
Leda – according to Greek mythology – was the wife of the king of Sparta Tyndareus, in which Zeus (Jupiter) fell in love. God managed to seduce a woman after he turned into a swan. From their relationship children were born: Helen, Clytemnestra, and Castor and Pollux.
