Gaius Julius Caesar was a famous lover and seducer of Roman women of high society. One of the Roman women he seduced was the mother of Marcus Brutus – Servilla.

In the course of his second consulate, he allegedly bought her a pearl worth six million sesterces, and during the civil war, apart from other gifts, he helped her acquire enormous goods by auction, at an extremely high price. low price. This was met with the surprise of the public. Cicero himself remarked: “It’s a better bargain than you think, for there is a third off”. There were rumours that Servilia decided to give Caesar her daughter Tertia for her own pleasure. Tertia means “third” in Latin.
