Impressive ramparts in Roman fort Ardoch
Impressive ramparts in the Roman fort Ardoch, just outside the village of Braco in central Scotland. The camp was established around 82 CE during the Agricola campaign in Caledonia.
The surviving Roman earthworks remains are among the best-preserved of their kind in all of Britain. Traces of several different marching camps have been found in the area. The researchers also found the foundations of the watchtower.
