Impressive ramparts in Roman fort Ardoch
Impressive ramparts in the Roman fort Ardoch , just outside the village of Braco in central Scotland . The camp was established around 82 CE during the Agricola campaign in Caledonia.
The surviving Roman earthworks remains are among the best-preserved of their kind in all of Britain. Traces of several different marching camps have been found in the area. The researchers also found the foundations of the watchtower.
