Archaeologists have announced that they have found the remains of the first Hellenistic temple in Latium. As they claim, it is dated to the 2nd century BCE and it was in the southwest of Italy.
The facility was located on a hill, overlooking Via Appia. Scientists believe that the processions to the temple were held from the ancient city of Tarracina.
Researchers are conducting further research, hoping to meet the deity to whom the temple was dedicated.
